Nuclear Science and Engineering is a core journal in the nuclear field, supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), sponsored by the Chinese Nuclear Society, and published by China Atomic Energy Press. It is indexed by multiple internationally renowned retrieval systems and is recognized as a Chinese core journal in the nuclear field. Since its founding in 1981, the journal has consistently adhered to the mission of disseminating the latest achievements in nuclear science and promoting the exchange of research outcomes in nuclear science and engineering, serving experts and researchers in the nuclear field. The journal has been selected for ten consecutive editions of the Peking University Core Journals Catalogue, successfully applied for and was admitted to the CAST High-Quality Science and Technology Journals Project in 2015. In 2017, a paper published in Nuclear Science and Engineering was awarded an Excellent Paper in the “Second CAST Excellent Science and Technology Papers Selection Program”, making it the only journal in the nuclear field to receive this honor.
